Last week, 19 Fort Hays State University students participated in the Midwest Model United Nations in St. Louis, Mo. They left Wednesday morning – before the storm – and were involved in conference activities through Saturday afternoon.
Three students won awards. Jacob Kessler, senior, won “Outstanding Delegation Award” and “Delegates Choice Award” representing India in the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice committee. Seniors Seth Bailey and Tyler Hayes received “Outstanding Delegation Honorable Mention” representing Australia in the Economic and Social Council Plenary.
Students attended 37.5 hours of meetings over a three-day period.
