FHSU band displays immense talent at ...
In my one and a half years at Fort Hays State University, I’ve noticed a lot of interesting things. I’ve noticed that raccoons in Hays are freakishly huge, walking to the third floor of Rarick Hall can practically be your workout for the day, and oriental students are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. The biggest thing I’ve noticed [...]
Seriously, Don’t Stop Please
To fully understand and appreciate how great — or not great — a band is, you have to see it live. Live music tells all. It exhibits the band’s talent, energy and charisma — or like I said, lack of it. Fortunately, Don’t Stop Please was overflowing with all three last night.
Gellas Diner and L.b. Brewing Co. opene [...]

Start making room in your wallets now. A couple years down the line, you’ll most likely be buying a couple singles or an album from The Gallery. The future kings of Los Angeles radio have just released their album, “Restless,” and they’re destined to start making waves in the music scene.
If you haven’t heard of The Gallery, you certainly are [...]

There’s a new craze sweeping the nation, and it is none other than the Harlem Shake. When I fi [...]
The return of print
I thought the saga of the demise of the Leader might continue as Student Government Association’s second reading of the Allocations bill progressed Thursday. After last year’s fiasco, I was doubtful that The University Leader would pass with the Allocations committee’s recommendation of $51,801.50.
But I was wrong. The saga may continue throu [...]

Give Red, Give Life
Often times red is the color of hazard. On roads, in buildings, as well as figuratively in literature, red has blared the message danger. Although, when the matter comes down to life or death, red is the most vital of every color.
In the blood drive hosted at the Memorial Student Union on March 6 and 7, students and community members came to [...]
