The Fort Hays State University football team played its season open against Emporia State for the second straight year last Thursday in Emporia. The Tigers fell to the Hornets 41-18.
Both teams rushed for 120 yards but the 183 passing yards by Fort Hays State University was no match for the 414 by Emporia.
